江東区インターナショナル保育園【ドリームキッズハウス】の魅力その４　スポーツデイ International Kindergarten “Dream Kids House” Attraction #4: Sports Day

ドリームキッズハウスは、いつでもどこでも、子どもの笑顔がはじけている、インターナショナル保育園です。

Dream Kids House is an international kindergarten where children burst with smiles anytime, anywhere.

 

今回ご紹介するイベントは、「スポーツデイ」です。

Today I would like to introduce you to “Sports Day.”

 

一年に一度のスポーツの祭典です。

体を動かす楽しみや、練習の成果を先生やお友達と一緒に共有できる、一大イベントです。

It is our annual sports festival, and a major event where children can enjoy moving their bodies and sharing the results of their efforts with teachers and friends.

 

この日のために、園児たちが一生懸命に練習を積んできた成果を、保護者のみなさんに披露することで、達成感や自信を身に付けていきます。

For this day, the kids have been working hard and practicing a lot. They will show the results of their hard work to their parents, building a sense of achievement and confidence.

 

練習の積み重ねが、体の基礎を作り、そして、達成感の積み重ねが、子どもの心の栄養になっていきます。

The practice builds a foundation for their bodies, and the sense of achievement becomes nourishment for their hearts.

 

さあ、開会式が始まります。

Let’s start with the opening ceremony!

 

 

先生たちが園児の全員の顔写真を貼って作成した、入場門です。

The teachers created an entrance gate that had photos of all the kindergarten children.

 

代表の園児が、園旗と、キンダークラスの園児たちの手作りの、今年度限定のスペシャルフラッグを持って先頭で入場してきます。

A select kindergarten student will lead the entrance holding the school flag and a special handmade flag created by the kindergarten class specifically for this year.

 

園児たちの表情は、緊張感もあるものの、これからのプログラムにワクワク感いっぱいにあふれています。

The children’s expressions show a mix of nervousness and excitement as they enter, full of anticipation for the upcoming program.

 

 

開会式では、園歌を斉唱した後に、キンダーのメロンクラスの代表の園児が選手宣誓を英語で行いました。

At the opening ceremony, we sang the school song, and then representatives from the Melon Class in the Kindergarten swore the athlete’s oath in English.

 

当日は、練習の成果を皆さんの前で、しっかりと上手に宣誓することができました。

They confidently and skillfully delivered the oath in front of everyone, showcasing the results of their practice.

 

メロンクラスは、最高学年として、それぞれの園児が責任のあるお仕事を担当してきました。

The Melon Class students, being the highest grade, each took on responsibilities throughout the event.

 

 

次は、準備体操の「ABCストレッチ体操」を園児とスタッフ全員で行いました。

Next, we performed our “ABC Stretch Exercise” with all the students and staff.

 

 

プリキンダーBクラスの園児たちも「ABCストレッチ体操」を一生懸命覚えてきました。

Even the Pre-Kindergarten B class children worked hard to learn the “ABC Stretch Exercise.”

 

開会式が終わり、最初のプログラムは、徒競走です。

After the opening ceremony, the first event on the program was a relay race.

 

 

一番小さい、ベリークラス（一歳児）の園児も思いっきり、そして楽しそうに走っています。

The Berry Class (one-year-olds), the smallest ones, ran with all their might and joy.

 

一生懸命頑張っている姿は、可愛いですね。

Their efforts were cute to watch.

 

 

プリキンダーAクラス（三歳児、四歳児）の園児の疾走感のある走りは、さすがですね。

The Pre-Kinder A class (three and four-year-olds) showed an impressive sprint.

 

 

キンダークラスの園児（四歳児、五歳児）は、走るスピードもさながら、フォームもきれいですね。

The Kinder class (four and five-year-olds) not only ran fast but also had a clean and beautiful form.

 

全員が全力で走りきった後の笑顔がとても印象的でした。

The smiles on everyone’s faces after giving their all in the race were very memorable.

 

次のプログラムはプリキンダーBクラスのダンスです。

Next on the program was a dance by the Pre-Kinder B class.

 

 

昨年は、ずっと泣いていた園児も、振り付けも頑張って覚えて、今年は笑顔でしっかり踊っていました。

Some of the children who used to cry a lot last year memorized the choreography and danced with big smiles this year.

 

一年ごとに成長を感じることができるのも、イベントの大きな魅力ですね。

Being able to see the growth of the children each year is one of the great attractions of the event.

 

次は空手のレッスンを受けている園児の、型の披露です。

Next, children who take karate lessons showcased their kata.

 

正課のレッスンとは別に、希望者は保育中の時間を使って、週に一回、空手のレッスンを受けることができます。

Apart from regular lessons, those interested can take karate lessons once a week during normal daytime hours.

 

 

空手講師の白石先生の声掛けに、一つ一つの型を丁寧に披露していきます。

Each student carefully and properly demonstrated their kata, responding to Karate instructor Mr. Shiraishi’s prompts.

 

空手は身体だけでなく、礼儀や礼節も重んじる指導をするので、心も鍛えられます。

Karate not only trains the body but also emphasizes etiquette and respect, helping to strengthen the heart and mind.

 

 

スペシャルタイムとして、空手講師の白石先生が型の模範演武と一緒に板割も披露してくれました。

As a special event, Mr. Shiraishi also demonstrated his board-breaking skills along with a kata.

 

気迫の一撃に、園児、スタッフ、保護者から歓声が上がりました。

His powerful strikes received cheers from children, staff, and parents alike.

 

次のプログラムは、プリキンダーBクラスの障害物競走です。

The next event on program was the obstacle race for the Pre-Kinder B class.

 

 

オレンジクラス（三歳児）からスタート、バナナクラス（二歳児）、ベリークラス（一歳児）の順番で競技しました。

They competed in order starting from the Orange Class (three-year-olds), followed by the Banana Class (two-year-olds), and finally the Berry Class (one-year-olds).

 

ゴールに付いた瞬間の、楽しそうな笑顔がなんとも言えないですね。

The joyful smiles at the moment they reached the goal were indescribable.

 

次は、プリキンダーAクラスに続き、キンダークラスのマスゲーム「組体操」です。

組体操に初めて挑戦する園児も、そして、技がレベルアップしたことで苦戦していた園児もいます。

Some students tried group gymnastics for the first time, and there were also those who struggled due to the increased difficulty of the moves.

 

当日まで、みんなで励まし合いながらたくさん練習を重ねてきました。

Everyone practiced a lot, encouraging each other up to this day.

 

緊張しながら始めた演技も、終えたたときの、「やり遂げた！」という表情が本当に素晴らしかったです。

Even with the nervous start of the performance, when it was completed, everyone had expressions showing “We did it!” that were truly wonderful.

 

この後は、プリキンダーAクラスとキンダーのアップルクラス、メロンクラスのダンス、障害物競争と各クラスのリレーを行いました。

After this, the Pre-Kinder A, Apple, and Melon classes had dance performances, obstacle courses, and relays for each class.

 

午前中いっぱいを使って、盛りだくさんのプログラムを、一人一人が精一杯に頑張って、そして各クラスの団結で終えることができました。

Using the entire morning, each student did their best in a variety of programs, concluding with the unity of each class.

 

終わった後に「楽しかったね！キンダークラスのダンス、かっこよかったね」と感想を述べながら、お家の人とお話しをしていた子どもたちの笑顔が、印象的でした。

After it was over, the smiles of the children as they expressed their impressions, saying things like, “It was fun! The Kinder class dance was cool,” while talking with their families, were truly impressive.

 

コロナ禍で、数年間開催が出来なかったイベントの１つです。

This was just one event which couldn’t be held for several years due to the pandemic.

 

昨年度から数年ぶりに開催ができるようになり、楽しそうに頑張っている子どもたちの姿に、保護者様からも感動の感想をいただいております。

We were able to hold it again after a few years from last year, and we have received moving feedback from parents about how the children are enjoying it and doing their best.

 

子ども達が一生懸命に取り組んでいる姿がとても素晴らしかったし、感動しました。
It was truly amazing and moving to see the children working so hard.

ありがとうございました。とても良い経験になり、思い出になりました。

最後のキンダーのリレーはやっぱり盛り上がりますね！
The final relay of the Kinder class was indeed exciting!

 

子どもの成長を実感でき、とても感動しました。
It was touching to witness the childrens’ growth.

親子共に楽しめました。先生方始め関係者の皆様、ありがとうございました！

最後のリレーが大盛り上がりで、とても楽しかったです。
The final relay was a huge hit, and it was so much fun to see.

本気で競争する！というのもやはり大事だなと思いました。
I realized how important it is to compete seriously!

数ヶ月にわたってご準備くださった先生方には感謝の思いでいっぱいです。ありがとうございました。
I am filled with gratitude for the teachers who worked tirelessly for several months to prepare. Thank you very much.

 

子どもたちひとりひとりの特性を見極めながら、スタッフは毎日保育にあたっています。

Every day, the staff takes care of each child while discerning their individual characteristics.

 

イベントは、その子どもたちの無限の可能性と笑顔を最大限に引き出せる、いい機会となるように試行錯誤しながら企画運営をしております。
