Hello, this is Satsuki Abe from Dream Kids House.

 

ドリームキッズハウスは、こどもたちの音楽が大好きな心も育てる、インターナショナル保育園です。

Dream Kids House is an international kindergarten that nurtures children’s love for music as well as their hearts.

 

今回ご紹介するイベントは、「クリスマスコンサート」です。

Today I would like to introduce you to our “Christmas concert.”

 

今年度のはじめから培ってきた、リトミックや鍵盤ハーモニカ、オペレッタの、普段のレッスンの成果を大舞台で披露します。

We showcase the results of our regular lessons in eurhythmics, keyboard harmonica, and operetta, which we have cultivated since the beginning of the year, on a grand stage.

 

園やクラスのお友達と一緒に、ひとつのものを仕上げるという共同作業は、達成感とともに、協調性を養うことができます。

Collaborative work, where children in their class or the school come together to complete a project not only provides a sense of achievement, but also fosters cooperation.

 

また、大きな舞台で発表することで、強い心を育てることもできます。

Additionally, performing on a big stage can help nurture resilience.

 

プログラムのオープニングは、キンダークラスの子どもたちのクリスマスキャロルからです。

The program opens with Christmas carols sung by the kindergarten students.

 

 

なんと、アカペラで、「Ｊｉｎｇｌｅ Ｂｅｌｌｓ」を英語で歌いあげました！

And they sang “Jingle Bells” in English, acapella!

 

キンダークラスのみなさんは、オペレッタ、リトミック、鍵盤ハーモニカ、とたくさんのプログラムを演じました。

The students were busy with operettas, eurhythmic exercises, and playing keyboard harmonica

 

そのような忙しい中、練習をやりきって本番を迎えたキンダークラスの皆さん、やりきった、そして、とてもたのしそうな表情ですね！

Despite the hectic schedule, the kindergarten class members practiced hard and put on a wonderful performance. Their expressions show both accomplishment and joy!

 

続いては、Ｐｒｅ－Ｂクラスの園児たちのオペレッタ「Ｏｌｄ Ｍａｃｄｏｎａｌｄ ｈａｄ ａ ｆａｒｍ」です。

Next up is the Pre-B class, performing the operetta “Old MacDonald Had a Farm.”

 

 

それぞれの動物になりきって可愛らしく演技しました。

Each child enthusiastically portrayed different animals, adding a touch of cuteness.

 

担任の先生が一生懸命に制作した、衣装も可愛いですね。

The teachers’ hard work in creating adorable costumes is evident.

 

担任の先生と一緒に、たくさん練習をして本番を迎えました。

Together with their teachers, they practiced extensively to prepare for this big day.

 

緊張してますが、しっかり音楽にのって、役を演じていましたね！

Despite their nervousness, they confidently played their roles in sync with the music!

 

続いてのプログラムは、キンダークラスの鍵盤ハーモニカの披露です。

Next up is the kinder class keyboard harmonica performance.

 

 

簡単そうに見えますが、実はなかなか難しいのが鍵盤ハーモニカです。

Playing the keyboard harmonica may seem simple, but in reality it’s quite challenging.

 

タンギング、息を吹くタイミングと指を動かすタイミングなど、一生懸命に練習をしてきました。

Timing the tonguing, coordinating breaths, and moving the fingers — all of these aspects required dedicated practice.

 

コロナが明けて、数年ぶりに再開した鍵盤ハーモニカのレッスンでした。

After a hiatus of years due to the pandemic, we resumed keyboard harmonica lessons.

 

見事に演奏をやりきりました！

They performed wonderfully!

 

みんなで心を合わせて演奏をやり遂げました。 次は、Ｐｒｅ－Ｂクラスのリトミックの演技です。

Together, they played in perfect harmony, and now it’s time for the Pre-B class eurhythmic performance.

 

 

２０２３年度のＰｒｅ－Ｂクラスは、１歳～３歳の子どもたちで構成されています。

The Pre-B class for 2023 consists of children aged 1 to 3 years old.

 

緊張しながらも、大好きなリトミックを、いつものレッスンのように楽しく舞台に立つことができました。

Despite their nervousness, they joyfully took the stage to perform their beloved eurhythmic exercises, just like during their regular lessons.

 

可愛らしいＰｒｅ－Ｂの子どもたちの姿に、観客のみなさんは、自然と笑顔になりました。

The adorable Pre-B children’s presence brought smiles to the faces of the audience.

 

 

リトミックが大好きな子どもたち、笑顔がはじけていますね！

The children love eurhythmic exercises and are beaming with smiles!

 

次のプログラムは、Ｐｒｅ－Ａクラスのリトミックの発表です。

Next up is the Pre-A class eurhythmic performance.

 

 

Ｐｒｅ－Ａクラスのリトミックでは、楽器を使って演奏することにも挑戦しました。

In the Pre-A class eurhythmic exercises, the children also took on the challenge of playing musical instruments.

 

今回演奏した曲目は、「Ｓｕｐｅｒｃａｌｉｆｒａｇｉｌｉｓｔｉｃｅｘｐｉａｌｉｄｏｃｉｏｕｓ」です。

The piece they performed this time was “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

 

キーボード、太鼓、マラカス、木琴、鉄琴を使っての演奏です。

They played using keyboards, drums, maracas, xylophones, and glockenspiels.

 

各自、自分の楽器を、一生懸命に演奏しました。

Each child played their instrument with great enthusiasm and effort. 

 

リトミックは、先生の生のピアノの音に合わせて、足、手の体の全体を使って、音の拍子や高低や強弱を表現します。

Eurhythmic exercises involve using the entire body—feet, hands—to express rhythm, pitch, and dynamics in sync with the teacher’s live piano music.

 

とても楽しそうですね。

It looks like a lot of fun!

 

リトミックは、楽しみながら音楽の基礎を身につけることのできるレッスンです。

Eurhythmic exercises provide a lesson where children can learn the basics of music while enjoying themselves.

 

次は、キンダーアップルクラスの出番です。 ハンドベルで「Ｔｗｉｎｋｌｅ　Ｔｗｉｎｋｌｅ　Ｌｉｔｔｌｅ　Ｓｔａｒ」を演奏しました。

Next up is the Kindergarten Apple class. They performed “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” on handbells.

 

ハンドベルを響かせるのも、表現力の１つです。

Playing the handbells also showcases their expressive abilities.

 

 

緊張しながらも、先生のピアノの音に、全員が心を合わせながら、綺麗な音色でメロディを作り上げることができました！

Despite their nervousness, everyone synchronized themselves to the teacher’s piano music and created a beautiful melody with lovely tones!

 

続いて、キンダーメロンクラスのリトミックの発表です。

Next up is the Kindergarten Melon class with their eurhythmic performance.

 

 

さすが、最高学年のメロンクラスのこどもたちです。

These are clearly the students of the melon class, the highest grade.

 

ピアノのリズムにピッタリ合わせて音の表現ができています。

They can express themselves musically, perfectly synchronized with the piano’s rhythm.

 

リトミックの発表の最後に、「世界に一つだけの花」を手話と一緒に歌いあげました。

At the end of the rhythmic performance, they sang “Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana” (The Only One Flower in the World) using sign language.

 

担任の先生の手作りの、一人ひとり違う色の花のリストバンドをつけて、見事に手話と歌をうたいあげました。

Wearing custom-made wristbands with flowers of different colors, each child beautifully combined sign language with the song.

 

次のプログラムは、Ｐｒｅ－Ａクラスのオペレッタです。

Next up is the Pre-A class operetta!

 

 

「Ｓｎｏｗ　Ｗｈｉｔｅ」を英語のセリフで演じました。

自分たちで考えたオリジナルのシナリオを取り入れました。

We performed ‘Snow White’ in English in which we incorporated an original scenario that we came up with ourselves.

 

歌あり、踊りあり、みんな役になりきって楽しく演じることができました。

There were songs, dances, and everyone fully embraced their roles, making the most of their performances.

 

最後までやりきることは、子どもたちの自己肯定感を高めることにつながります。

Being able to complete the entire performance contributes to boosting the children’s self-confidence.

 

最後の演目は、キンダークラスの「Ｔｈｅ　Ｗｉｚａｒｄ　ｏｆ　Ｏｚ」です。

The final act is the Kinder class rendition of “The Wizard of Oz.”

 

 

「オズの魔法使い」「Ｔｈｅ　Ｗｉｚ」の映画を鑑賞し、英語のストーリーを基本に、みんなで考えたオリジナルのストーリーを作りました。

We watched ‘The Wizard of Oz’ movie and based our original story on the English version.

 

イベントには、子どもたちの自発的な心を育てることも大事な目的の一つです。

One of the important goals of this event is to nurture the children’s spontaneous decisions and actions.

 

本番までに、ネイティブの先生と一緒に、英語のセリフを一生懸命に練習してきました。

Right up the performance day we diligently practiced our English lines with the native staff.

 

 

そして最後に踊りつきて歌った、ミュージカル映画「Ｔｈｅ　Ｗｉｚ」の「Ｅａｓｅ　ｏｎ　ｄｏｗｎ　ｔｈｅ　ｒｏａｄ」は圧巻でした。

And finally, the performance of “Ease on Down the Road” from the musical movie “The Wiz” was spectacular.

 

楽しいレッスンの積み重ねの集大成、大盛り上がりの最後を飾ることができました。

It was the culmination of enjoyable lessons, and we ended on a high note!

子供の成長を強く感じることが出来た一日でした。

We strongly felt the children’s growth this day.

 

本人は緊張してナーバスになっていたようですが、大きな舞台でセリフを言ったり歌ったり成功体験が出来た 一日だったのかなと思いました。

Although the children seemed nervous and anxious, they had a successful day, speaking lines and singing on the big stage.

 

先生方との練習も本人は楽しかったようで、より先生との信頼関係を結ぶことが出来たと感じています。

The practice with the teachers also seemed enjoyable for the children, and it helped build even more trust with the teachers.

 

日々のご指導はとっっても大変だったと思いますが、毎日の保育の中でのご準備、ありがとうございました。

I know that your daily guidance was quite challenging, but thank you for your hard work and preparations.

 

親も子も楽しい時間となりました。

Both parents and children had a delightful time.

 

数ヶ月にわたってご準備くださった先生方には感謝の思いでいっぱいです。ありがとうございました。

To the teachers who prepared for months, our hearts are full of gratitude. Thank you very much.

 

毎日の練習はもちろん、可愛い衣装、当日の運営、日々の保育でお忙しい中、本当にありがとうございます！！

Thank you so much for the constant daily practice, the adorable costumes, managing the event, and all thing along with the busy daily kindergarten care!

 

わが子は終始ニコニコしていて、とても楽しそうでした。

Our child was smiling from start to finish and seemed to have a lot of fun.

 

前日は少し緊張もしていて、それもまたとてもいい経験だと思いました。

Our child was a bit nervous the day before, but I think it was a valuable experience.

 

こどもたちは、音楽が大好きです！

Children love music!
