At Dream Kids House International Kindergarten, an Art Specialist Visits Once a Week

Hello, I’m Megumi from Dream Kids House.

At Dream Kids House, an expert in painting and sculpture comes to the school once a week.

The children have the opportunity to experience various creative activities each time.

This time, we challenged ourselves with printmaking. First, we carefully observed a real squid.

While closely observing the squid, the children sketched their outlines, paying attention to the position of the eyes, the number of tentacles, and the suction cups.

This activity helps develop their insight, observational skills, and concentration.

This time, it seemed a bit difficult to draw on the styrofoam.

Next, they used rollers to apply color, ensuring an even application.

Once the outline was complete, they placed washi paper on top and used a baren to print. They were excited to see the final result.

When they gently lifted the washi paper, they created beautiful prints.

With the assistance of the instructor and staff, the experience of doing it themselves will contribute to their growth.

Through various sculpting and crafting activities, the children can gain a sense of accomplishment.

The children love their art time.

At Dream Kids House, there are plenty of fun experiences in our creative activities.
